El Paso Community College's women's half marathon team was named the National Junior College Athletic Association team of the year after compiling a 3.78 team GPA during the 2025-26 academic year, according to KVIA. Nine athletes qualified for the Second Team, which recognizes GPAs between 3.80 and 3.99: Jaziel Boekhoudt and Gus Koehn from baseball; Ariel Alvarado and Abigail Rios from softball; and Maureen Jepkosgei, Antonia Ronoh and Faith Rotich from women's cross country and half marathon. Two additional athletes, Nhamoinesu Mabvuka from women's cross country and half marathon, also earned Second Team honors.
