Major road closures planned for El Paso area week of Aug. 30

South Desert Boulevard at Transmountain will close overnight from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 31 as part of the I-10 Widening West project, according to KTSM.

A separate series of overnight closures will affect Border Highway, also known as Loop 375, from Sunday, Aug. 30 through Thursday, Sept. 3, the station reported.

Drivers in the area should plan alternative routes during the closure periods.
