Heat Advisory in Effect for El Paso, Las Cruces as Temps Near 104

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for El Paso County effective Tuesday from noon until 9 p.m. MDT, according to KVIA.

El Paso is expected to reach a high of 104 degrees, while Las Cruces will see temperatures climb to 103 degrees. The morning started with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s before climbing through the afternoon.

Thunderstorm chances remain low at 10 to 20 percent across the region Tuesday.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during the heat advisory period.
