El Paso's annual Giving Day generated a record $7,276,340 in donations to 309 local nonprofits on October 15, according to the Paso del Norte Community Foundation. The 11th iteration of the fundraising event drew 13,167 donations across organizations focused on education, health, arts, hunger relief and other causes.

The event, which began in 2016, has grown steadily over the past decade. Kellie Burns-Franco, director of engagement at PdNCF, attributed the record to community commitment. "This year's record-breaking El Paso Giving Day is a testament to the generosity and commitment of our community," Burns-Franco said, according to KVIA. "Now in our 11th year, we continue to see giving grow year after year, reflecting the incredible support for the nonprofits that make a difference in our region."

Large corporate contributions amplified the impact of individual donations. Meta provided $2.3 million in matching funds, while Marathon Petroleum Corporation and the Shiloff Family Foundation contributed $537,000 in combined matching support. PdNCF identified Giving Day as one of the largest fundraising opportunities for the region's nonprofit sector.

The day concluded with an After Party attended by nonprofits, donors and community partners, themed around Lucha Libre wrestling traditions.
