Canutillo, Hanks open football seasons with wins Thursday night

The high school football season officially began in El Paso on Thursday night with four teams competing in their opening games, according to KVIA.

Canutillo opened with a 28-20 victory over Americas. Hanks defeated Montwood 63-27 in a home game.

Both programs notched wins to start their 2026 seasons.
